1.   Since the beginning men have judged their own actions on the basis that if they do something and do it well, then greatness will surely follow, if what they do will, in their minds, somehow benefit mankind.

This attitude is especially prevalent with one nation imposing its type of government onto another nation, all of which flies in the face of God's Decree that HE ALONE  has authority over the domains of mankind, and that he sets over them the very basest (worst) of men."

How much clarification does man need?  Keep out of God's business, and let HIM decide what type of government a given nation requires.  Otherwise  HE  will destroy YOU as a nation !!.

"This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones:  to the intent that the living  (which includes present day leaders of America, as well as you and I)  may know that the most High ALMIGHTY GOD  ruleth in the domains of men, and giveth it to whomsoever  HE  will, and that HE setteth up over it the basest (very worst) of men."  (Daniel 4:17).

"Yet thus saith the Lord GOD; "At the end of forty years will I gather the Egyptians from the people whither they were scattered:  And I will bring again the captivity of Egypt,  and will cause them to return into the land of Pathros, into the land of their habitation; and they shall be there a base kingdom.  It shall be the basest of the kingdoms; neither shall it exalt itself any more above the nations:  for I will diminish them, that they shall no more rule over the nations."  (Ezekiel 29:13-16)

How arrogant must the leaders of our nation be, to think God would punish Egypt for doing what America is now doing, but not likewise punish America?

After being Appointed by ALMIGHTY GOD to be a prophet to  ALL  nations to ever exist on the earth, Jeremiah the prophet put it this way:  "Who would not fear thee, O King of nations?  For to thee doth it pertain:  forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee."  (Jeremiah 10:7)

Note Jeremiah 1:10 "I (The Lord) have this day set thee over the nations..."

History has taught us that what empires do is force other nations to accept the aggressor nation's form of government whether it wants to,  or not,  by imposing economic pressures, protectionism, military acts, and/or puppet governments.

As far as America being an empire, perhaps Wikipedia, the online Encyclopedia, says it best in its opening paragraph to describe the term Pax Americana, a term now used to refer to America as an empire, when it declared the period of peace in the Western world coinciding with the dominant military and economic position of the United States since the end of World War II in 1945, has placed the U.S. in the military and diplomatic role of a modern day Roman Empire or British Empire (based on Pax Romana and Pax Britannica, respectively).  As clearly documented by this link.

To further the concept that America has become an empire,  a person need only (A)  consider the organization known as P.N.A.C.,  "Project for the New American Century",  and its stated goal that the United States should capitalize on its military and economic superiority to gain unchallengeable superiority over other nations through whatever means necessary,  including military force".  (B)  Review that organization's roster of members as listed in the link below.  Then, (C)  consider that not only are most of them key members of President George W. Bush's administration,  but that,  (D) a large number of them, to include Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz, William J. Bennett,  ohn R. Bolton, and others,  were as well key members of President George Bush Senior's administration in 1988 - 1992, and have held this same "America can rule the world"  philosophy for over twenty years; some of them ever since the Nixon Administration.  Many of them have spent most of their waking hours polishing their abilities to deceitfully carry out its policies in the shadows of what they publicly feign to be a democracy.

We also know from the evening news and from recorded history that America is now doing precisely what God Himself told king Nebuchadnezzar he would never tolerate.  That being a nation using materialism, colonialism, and protectionism to gain control of other nations.

We know from Daniel 4:29-31 which is provided verbatum in the link below, that the instant Nebuchadnezzar bragged to himself that  HE had built the Babylonian Empire  according to his own will, based on the principles of materialism, colonialism, and protectionism, God took king Nebuchadnezzar's empire away from him, then took his life as well.

We know from Daniel 2:39-40  (provided below) that earlier God had told Nebuchadnezzar that after his empire there would come three more empires similar to his.  We know from Daniel 2:39-40 that the second (which was Rome) would be inferior to king Nebuchadnezzar's empire (Rome only ever ruled over a small portion of the earth).  We know from Daniel 2:39-40 that the third empire would rule over the entire world, and since the EUROPEAN DYNASTY  is the only empire that has ever ruled over the entire world, this makes the E-D the only possible candidate to be the third empire.  We also know from history that the Babylonian Empire, the Roman Empire,  the British Empire which was the largest part of the European Dynasties, and the United States of America, which is now commonly referred to as PAX AMERICANA, were/are the only empires on earth to be founded on the principles of materialism, colonialism, and protectionism.  Thus, making America the fourth such empire.

3.  As demonstrated by the following link, the Seventh Chapter of the Book of Daniel begins with an angel explaining to Daniel that there will be a total of four kingdoms/empires similar to and including that of king Nebuchadnezzar's.  The angel then describes these empires one at a time.

4.  After the angel describes these empires one at a time, the next few verses which are  DANIEL 7:9-14  declares that  ALMIGHTY GOD  sits in Judgment of the fourth empire and destroys it with fire (verse eleven).  The discernment for all of these verses is provided in the link below.  These may very well be the most prophetic verses in the entire Bible. They describe the demise of the fourth empire and provide the sequence of events that lead up to the Second Coming of Christ.

5.  After verse 14,  Daniel spends the remainder of Chapter Seven asking that the identity of the fourth kingdom be revealed to him.  After which Chapter Eight is used to tell Daniel HOW the fourth empire will come into existence.

7.   We know that prayer is the only daily sacrifice God has ever asked man to make.  We know from its official records that on June 17, 1963 America made public reverential prayer illegal, and simultaneously made using the word God in any public statement illegal.  We know from the first of the two links below which contains various verses from the Book of Daniel,  that The Lord pinned half of this particular set of reasons for which He will destroy the fourth empire, to its removal of its people's daily sacrifice (prayer).  We know from the logical discernment of REVELATION 17:9-10  which is provided in the next link that the odds of any other nation fitting within the scenario provided by this Parable are simply too astronomical.  Thereby for yet another reason, making America the fourth such empire.
