When it comes to the nation The Lord.refers to as the Fourth Empire on Earth to be based on materialism:
"Take vengeance upon her; as she has done, do to her." (Jeremiah 50:15)
"Recompense her according to her work; According to all that she has done, do to her: For she has been arrogant against The Lord, against the Holy One of Israel." (Jeremiah 50:29)
"Reward her even as she rewarded you, and do double to her, double according to her works: In the cup which she has filled for you, fill it double for her. How much she has glorified herself, and lived extravagantly, so give her much torment and sorrow: For she says in her heart, I sit as a queen, I am no widow, and I shall see no sorrow. (Revelation 18:6-7)
"Have I, The Lord God, not decreed that Justice, AND ONLY JUSTICE shall a nation pursue, THAT its people may live, and possess the land which I, The Lord, their God, has given to them?" (Deuteronomy 16:19-20)
"Therefore said THE LORD GOD to vince diehl; I will plead your cause, and take vengeance for you; I will dry up their waters, and make their springs dry. People will wag their heads, their mouths will fall open, and their eyes will bulge out, at what I will do to their land, for what they have allowed their government to do to you." (read Jeremiah 51:36)
The Lord then reminded Vince that the people who will be charged for what their government has done to him are those who brag on a daily basis that "theirs" is a government of the people, by the people, and for the people, and that therefore in His eyes THEY are responsible for allowing this to be done to you.
It IS a government run by them, isn't it? Or, so they boast to everyone !!
Therefore, said THE LORD, I will hold THEM responsible !
When they complain, said The Lord, remind them of my warning: "Touch not My anointed and do My prophets no harm, or I, The Lord God, will strike them." Thus, said The Lord God.
And yes, we already know that some folks will be far too arrogant to believe that THE CREATOR OF ALL THINGS would speak to any man, without speaking to them first; and perhaps it's those folks who most need exposure to what HE thinks of their efforts to control the government THEY claim to run; and what HE is doing about it.
