The. .FIRST.and.GREATEST.Commandment is to:

Love The Lord God with all of one's heart, mind, and soul.
.
The first and greatest commandment is..NOT..to love one's neighbor.
That is the second commandment.
.
A genuine.love for God.requires that I care more about.His Word and His will,.than I do about men. - .and their feelings, opinions, comments, and programs.
.
Christians invariably use what they feel is the Word of God to measure everything.
.
A few try to use it as a yardstick to measure me, and the things I write, .which, when they do so according to SCRIPTURE, I take that as the most sincere compliment any Christian could possibly pay me; because THAT is the way things are supposed to be measured, according to Christ Himself.
.
However, Christians who do not understand what I write, .will very often accuse me of preaching separatism, and ignoring unity? .They will accuse me of heresy, claiming I ignore love.  A few will invariably complain that I think my standards are as high as the Bible itself, and that my 'zeal for the Bible' is nothing but arrogance and pride.
.
"If you knew the Bible as well as you claim, then I believe you'd live it, and realize that the lost will never be reached through such hatred".  A few will assert.
.
Well, to a generation who has been taught that Jesus loves them, .and that therefore, no harm can come to them, .because HE is the Almighty God, .who's pastors ignore the teachings of Christ and His apostles, .and have instead, adopted the teachings of the FIRST century Catholic church, who, under the guidance and control of Emperor TRAJAN, and his cohort.IGNATIUSfounded the Catholic church so they could make huge amounts of MONEY:

In the Interest of making money, .they realized it was a lot easier to get peasants to join their church if they told them Jesus is Himself The Most High God, and who then neglected to tell them that although its true Jesus loves them, as is made clear by scripture,.ALMIGHTY GOD is not a respecter of individual persons.
.
To the victims of THESE lies, .the prophesied JUDGMENTbyTHE MOST HIGH GOD.aspect of Scriptural Christianity, .is simply unloving.
.
Not truly understanding Scripture:  As far as they are concerned, for me to carefully test things by the Bible is unkind.  For me to warn them of false doctrines is not being compassionate. For me to brand false teachings is mean spirited.  And for me to teach the high and holy standards of Christian living, is simply legalist meanness.
.
These people adhere to the "new-age" standard,  WHICH IS:
"Let's forget our labels and come together in love, the pope has called for that. They rant, and boldly exagerate, "I have 400 verses on love"!  They loudly proclaim, "Till I die I will proclaim nothing but love for all my brothers and sisters in Christ.  Some proudly boast, "I will proclaim it for my Catholic brothers and sisters,  for all my Protestant brothers and sisters, For the Christian Reformed,  For Lutherans,  and I don't care what "label" people are, going on to claim that, by doing this,  they boldly assert, if you have love one to another, all men will know you are Christ's disciples,"

All of which "principles" are attributed to self professed "prophet" Jack Van Impe, who, after all of his NATIONALLY TELEVISED prophecies failed, beginning with his prophecy that EAST Germany (which no longer even exists) would combine with Russia, and invade America:  In order to continue his money grab,.turned himself into a tv and radio "evangelist", .and wanna-be theologian.

However,..ALMIGHTY GOD..has a totally different view !
The Bible says that without love "I am become as sounding brass, a tinkling cymbal."  The Bible also makes it clear that.God is love, and those who know God will reflect.His.love.
.
What is love, though.?
Most Christians have confused the very definition. To many Christians, love is a warm feeling,  a romantic thought.  Love, to them, is broad mindedness and non-judgmental .tolerance.of just anyone who even. claims.to know the Lord Jesus Christ.
.
This, however, is not what the Bible says tells us about love, and what LOVE is meant BYALMIGHTY GOD to be. .Consider the following verses of Scripture:
.
"Jesus answered and said,..IF A MAN LOVES ME,..HE WILL KEEP MY WORDS:  .and my Father will love him, .and we will come unto him, .and make our abode with him". (John 14:23)
.
But take note Christ used the word.IF! ! !
.
"And this I pray, .that your LOVE MAY ABOUND YET MORE AND MORE..IN KNOWLEDGE. AND IN ALL JUDGMENT;  That ye may approve things that are excellent;  that ye may be sincere..and without offence, .till the day of Christ".   (Philippians 1:9-10)

"For..THIS. IS THE LOVE OF GOD, THAT WE.KEEP.HIS COMMANDMENTS:
.
and his Commandments are not grievous".   (1 John 5:3)
.
This means stop whining about the things.GOD.has cleary told.us to do.
.
"And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, .that ye both do,.and will do,.the things which we..command..you.
.
And that The Lord direct your hearts into.the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
.
Now we command you, brethren, .in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, .that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly,  and not after the tradition which he received of us".   (2 Thessolanians 3:4-6)
.
Therefore, Biblical love is obedience.to God .and to His Word.
.
In the last verses we see that the love of God is "sandwiched" between two verses that emphasize obedience.to God's Commandments.
.
THEREFORE:
Love is not a feeling. .It is not blissful romanticism. .It is not fuzzy toleration of things that are wrong. .For a woman to love her husband means she submits to and serves him according to the Bible. .For a man to love his wife means he treats her in the way the Bible commands. .For children to love their parents means they honor and obey them as the Bible commands.

Love is obedience to God's Word. ! ! !
.
Love is not an emotion. .Emotions are unstable and undependable.. Love is not broad mindedness. .It is not non-judgmentalism. .
.
Nor, is non-critical tolerance.!
.
Biblical love is careful...It is based on the knowledge of God's Word,  and is associated with the exercise of judgment...Love proves all things,. and will approve only those things that are the..will..of God.
.
Was..Christ..unloving when He called Peter a devil?   (Matthew 16:23)
.
Was..Christ..unloving when He publicly condemned the Pharisees?  (Mat. 23)
.
Was..Paul..unloving when he rebuked Peter for his compromise?  (Gal. 1)
.
Was..Paul..unloving when he named the names of compromisers and false teachers such as Hymenaeus and Alexander ten different times in the Pastoral Epistles?
.
Was..Paul..unloving when he forbade women to preach or to usurp authority over men?  (1Timothy 2:12)  Or, when he required that they keep silent in the churches?  (1 Corrinthians 14:34)
.
Biblical love.does.not.mean that I ignore things that are wrongand injurious.
.
To love a false teacher does not mean that I turn a blind eye to his error, and strive to have unity with him. regardless .of his doctrine.
.
It means that I obey the Bible and mark and avoid him. (Romans 16:17)...And, that I expose his error publicly,..to protect those who might be led astray by his teaching.
.
Some Christians are not only confused about the definition of love, .they are also confused about the..direction..of love.
.
THE  FIRST..DIRECTION..OF  LOVE  MUST  BE  TOWARD  GOD.
.
Christians talk much about love toward man, .but what about love toward God?
.
Acording to our Lord, Christ Jesus,  THAT .is the greatest commandment !
.
"Then one of them, .which was a lawyer, .asked Christ a question, .tempting him,. and saying, Master, .which is the great commandment in the law?  .Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt loveThe Lord thy Godwith all thy heart,and with all thy soul,  and with all thy mind...This is the first and great commandment.
.
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself".
(Matthew 22:35-39)

Take note that the.FIRST.and.GREATEST.Commandment, .is:
.
Love The Lord God will all of one's heart, soul, and mind.

Some folks point their fingers at me and accuse me of lacking in love toward men,  because I exercise judgment and discipline.
.
What, though, about love for God?
.
They tell me I need to love all people regardless of what doctrine they teach, .or believe.
.
To that I reply that I need to love..God..and His Truth first, .and that means I will obey the Bible, which means I will measure, mark, and avoid those committed to error.
.
A genuine..love for God..requires that I care more about..His Word,.and His will, .than I do about men - and their feelings, opinions, comments, and programs.
.
I agree with Charles Haddon Spurgeon who said:
"On all sides we hear cries for unity in this, and unity in that; but to my mind the main need for this age is not compromise, .
.
but .conscientiousness.  First pure, then peaceable.
.
It is easy to cry 'a confederacy,' but that union which is not based upon the truth of God is a conspiracy..iIt is not communion.  Charity by all means;  but honesty also.
.
LOVE, OF COURSE, BUT LOVE TO GOD, AS WELL AS LOVE TO MEN,
.
AND LOVE OF TRUTH, AS WELL AS LOVE OF UNION.
.
It is exceedingly difficult in these times to preserve one's fidelity..before God .and before one's fraternity among men.  Should not the former be preferred to the latter,.when both cannot be maintained:  I happen to think so"

THE  DIRECTION  OF LOVE NOT ONLY MUS  BE TOWARD  GOD

BUT IT MUST ALSO BE TOWARD  THOSE WHO ARE IN DANGER.
.
Today's Christian crowd tells me I need to love the Modernist and the Romanist, etc.
.
But they are practically silent on the subject of love.of those who are DECEIVED..by the Modernist and the Romanist.
.
I am charged with being unloving, when I expose the fact that Catholicism preaches a false sacramental gospel that was literally.invented.for the sole purpose of making huge amounts of money.
.
The fact is, .I just happen to love people enough to warn them of false doctrines,.so they will not be led astray to eternal hell.
.
A shepherd who loves wolves more than the sheep is confused and wicked.
.
In conclusion, I quote from the words of James Henley Thornwell, .a staunch "Old School" Presbyterian preacher who fought against theological modernism in the 19th century.  He was the sixth president of South Carolina College (today the University of South Carolina).  He was weary with the compromised evangelicals of his day, who said they loved the truth, but were soft in their stance and refused to expose heresy.

Note Thornwell's powerful words and his understanding of true..biblical..love:

"To employ soft words and honeyed phrases in discussing questions of everlasting importance; to deal with errors that strike at the foundations of all human hope as if they were harmless and venial mistakes; to bless where God disapproves,  and to make apologies where He calls us to stand up like men and assert, though it may be the aptest method of securing popular applause in a sophistical age:  is cruelty to man and treachery to Heaven.

Those who, on such subjects, attach more importance to the rules of courtesy than they do to the measures of truth, do not defend the citadel, but betray it into the hands of its enemies.
.
Love for Christ, and for the souls for whom He died, will be the exact measure of our zeal in exposing the dangers by which men's souls are ensnared"

10.  If We Don't Stand Together We Will Hang Separately;
11.  The Christian Army Shoots Its Own Wounded;
12.  God Does Not Look on what you APPEAR to be doing;
13.  We Will Be in Heaven Together;
14.  The Christian Life Should Be Liberty and Fun;
15.  We Should Be All Things to All Men;
16.  Denominational Divisions Should Be Erased;
17.  It is Not Possible to Know That Your Doctrine Is Right;
18.  Loving Jesus Is All that Is Important;
19.  Dont sweat the small stuff !!!
20.  Everyone wants to concentrate on loving their neighbors.

But they are allowing their "neighbors" to do just whatever their lil heart desires,.without counseling them, and guiding them, according to the will of God, which in the end is.their only hope of obtaining true love. .Which means that you placing your love for neighbor,.before your love for ALMIGHTY GOD, will, without doubt, take.BOTH.of you straight to.HELL !!!

In the end, it's all about you and God,.HE.is the only one you need to worry about, and doing.HIS.will will most likely be.against.the will of your neighbor!!
