Some will try to falsely claim that in Revelation Eleven, Verse 8, when The Lord used the term  "great City"  He was somehow referring to Jerusalem.

The following verses however document that in the End Days The Lord will utterly destroy the "great city" He refered to in Revelation 11:8, and that pursaunt to Jeremiah 30:10 and 11 The Lord has specifically PROMISED that He will NEVER  totally destroy neither Jerusalem, nor Israel.

Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel:  for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.

For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee:  though I make a full end of all nations  whither I have scattered thee,  yet I will  not  make a full end of thee:  but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.   (Jeremiah 30:10-11)

Therefore, based on the following complete Scriptural thread regarding the subject "great city",  which document that The Lord will utterly destroy it with a fire that can never be put out:  Any such claim that The Lord was referring to either Jerusalem OR to Israel in Revelation 11:8 is pure unadulterated nonsense.  It is as well utterly false demonic doctrine meant to confuse all of GOD'S Prophecy.  To wit:

Revelation 16:19  And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

Revelation 17:18  And the woman which thou sawest is that great city,  which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

Revelation 18:10  Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon,  that mighty city!  For in one hour is thy judgment come.

Revelation 18:16  And saying, Alas, alas that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!

Revelation 18:18  And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!

Revelation 18:19  And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas that great city,wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness!  For in one hour is she made desolate.

Revelation 18:21  And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.

Revelation 21:10-11  And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me THAT great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,  having the glory of God:  and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal...

Revelation 13:2  And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion:  and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

Revelation 13:3  And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

Revelation 13:4  And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast?  who is able to make war with him?

Revelation 13:5  And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

Revelation 13:6  And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

Revelation 13:7  And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

Revelation 13:8  And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
