a Plague that causes open sores on their head and/or face). Look
around! His Plague is now in effect; And The Lord will discover their

Those
who do not
make it to heaven are they who hear The Word of God, and accept it
into their lives; But, because of the cares,
.riches,
and pleasures
that are also in their lives; The Word of God is choked out; They produce
no WORKS
that are acceptable to God Almighty; And, they therefore lose what could
have been their standing in Heaven. (also see Luke 8:14; Matthew
13:22; and Mark 4:18-19)

JESUS
PUT IT ANOTHER WAY:

"How
well Elijah prophesied of you hypocrites. As it is written, This
people honor me with their lips, but their heart is far from me."
(Mark 7:6)

in.vain
they worship me; Teaching as doctrine, the commandments of men."
(Mark 7:7)
Please note that a doctrine is generally accepted as something that has been decreed by an institution for the purpose of teaching. Therefore, this verse can only be referring to churches, since no single man can have the ability or authority to establish doctrine in the absense of such an institution."For laying aside the commandments of God, they hold the traditions of men...," (Mark 7:8)
.
And Jesus said to them: "Full well you reject the commandments of God, that you may keep your own (church's) traditions." (Mark 7:9)
.
Also please note that, while the above verses specifically mention the doctrine of washing bowls, etc., they still apply to EVERY false doctrine; Because The Word Of God Almighty is unchanging.

NEVERTHELESS:
Did not The Lord deliver Lot, a righteous man who was vexed with filthy conversation just because he was around the wicked: Whereas, even a righteous man like Lot, who was dwelling among those who are given to bad deeds, and who used filthy conversation, will, by merely seeing and hearing, poison his righteous soul from day to day, with their unlawful words and deeds; (also see 2-Peter 2:7-8)
.
But even so, The Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment, to be punished: Namely, those who walk after worldly things in the lust of uncleanness, and despise authority. They are both presumptuous and selfwilled! They are not afraid to speak judgement, even of dignities. (also see 2Peter 2:9-10)
